चुनाव आयुक्त अरुण गोयल ने शनिवार को अपने पद से इस्तीफा दे दिया है।गोयल के इस्तीफे को राष्ट्रपति ने स्वीकार कर लिया है।उनका इस्तीफा ऐसे समय पर आया है जब देश में जल्द ही लोकसभा चुनाव होने वाले हैं।बता दें कि अरुण गोयल का कार्यकाल 2027 तक था.उन्होंने 21 नवंबर 2022 को चुनाव आयुक्त का कार्यभार संभाला था।देश में चल रही चुनावी बयार के बीच चुनाव आयुक्त अरुण गोयल ने शनिवार को अपने पद से इस्तीफा दे दिया है।जानकारी के मुताबिक गोयल के इस्तीफे को राष्ट्रपति ने स्वीकार कर लिया है। उनका इस्तीफा ऐसे समय पर आया है जब देश में जल्द ही लोकसभा चुनाव होने वाले हैं।देश में चुनावों की तैयारियां जोरों पर हैं।माना जा रहा है कि जल्द ही लोकसभा चुनावों की तारीखों का भी ऐलान हो सकता है। ऐसे में अब चुनावी व्यवस्था का पूरा जिम्मा मुख्य निर्वाचन आयुक्त राजीव कुमार के कंधों पर आ गया है।बता दें कि अरुण गोयल का कार्यकाल 2027 तक था।37 सालों से ज्यादा की सेवा पूरी करने के बाद अरुण गोयल सचिव.भारी उद्योग मंत्रालय.भारत सरकार के पद से सेवानिवृत्त हुए थे।
