पतंग की डोर कटी ओवैसी के लाडले वारिस पठान पांचवे नंबर पर
Bhiwandi - Ignoring AIMIM candidate Khalid Guddu, who had performed brilliantly in the 2019 elections at the Bhiwandi West assembly seat, Owaisi fielded former AIMIM MLA and national spokesperson and his beloved Waris Yusuf Pathan in the election fray from the Bhiwandi West assembly constituency. But the public cut the string of Waris Yusuf Pathan's kite and brought AIMIM to the fifth position. He got only 15,800 votes and Mahesh Chaugule of the BJP won this seat by a huge margin. In the 2019 elections, Khalid Guddu contested on behalf of the AIMIM party and came second and Khalid Guddu got 43,945 votes. But this time, due to Khalid Guddu being in jail, the party did not give him a ticket. Instead, Waris Pathan was given a chance, which increased resentment within the party. Khalid Guddu's supporters started distancing themselves from the party and at the last moment supported SP's Riyaz Azmi. (AIMIM) put all its strength behind Waris Pathan. Asaduddin Owaisi and Akbaruddin Owaisi held meetings in Bhiwandi, and gave speeches in their familiar style to get minority votes like BJP, but this campaign failed to attract voters. Khalid Guddu's 43 thousand voters let go of the kite's string. Other reasons are being given for (AIMIM) not holding the kite's string in Bhiwandi. Ignoring local leaders in the party, displeasure of Khalid Guddu's supporters and trust on an outsider candidate, and being labelled as BJP's B team and provocative speeches are considered to be the main reasons for the defeat. Now it will be interesting to see what lesson (AIMIM) learns from this defeat. Will (AIMIM)'s kite fly again, or will this defeat prove to be a permanent loss for the party?

भिवंडी – भिवंडी पश्चिम विधान सभा सीट पर २०१९ के चुनाव में दूसरे नंबर पर सानदार प्रदर्शन करने वाले (AIMIM) के उम्मीदवार खालिद गुड्डू को दरकिनार करते हुए ओवैसी ने (AIMIM) पार्टी के पूर्व विधायक और राष्ट्रीय प्रवक्ता तथा आपने लाडले वारिस युसुफ पठान को भिवंडी पश्चिम विधानसभा क्षेत्र के चुनावी मैदान में उतारा दिया। परंतु जनता ने वारिस युसुफ पठान की पतंग की डोर काट दी और (एआईएमआईएम) को पांचवें स्थान पर लाकर खडा़ कर दिया। उन्हे मात्र 15,800 वोट ही मिले और भाजपा के महेश चौघुले ने इस सीट पर भारी मतों से जीत दर्ज की।2019 के चुनाव में खालिद गुड्डू ने (AIMIM) पार्टी की तरफ से चुनाव लड़कर दूसरे स्थान पर रहे और खालिद गुड्डू को 43,945 वोट मिले थे । लेकिन इस बार खालिद गुड्डू के जेल में रहने के कारण पार्टी ने उन्हें टिकट नहीं दिया। इसके बदले वारिस पठान को मौका दिया गया, जिससे पार्टी के अंदर नाराजगी बढ़ गई। खालिद गुड्डू के समर्थक पार्टी से दूरी बनाने लगे और अंतिम समय में सपा के रियाज आजमी का समर्थन कर दिया। (AIMIM) ने वारिस पठान के लिए पूरी ताकत झोंक दी। असदुद्दीन ओवैसी और अकबरुद्दीन ओवैसी ने भिवंडी में सभाएं कीं, और अपने चित परचित अंदाज में भाजपा की तरह अल्पसंख्यक मतों को पाने के लिए भाषण बाजी की लेकिन ये प्रचार मतदाताओं को लुभाने में नाकाम रहा। खालिद गुड्डू के 43 हजार मतदाताओं ने पतंग की डोर छोडदी। भिवंडी में (AIMIM) की पतंग की डोर न पकड़ने के और भी करण बताई जा रही हैं। पार्टी में स्थानीय नेताओं की अनदेखी, खालिद गुड्डू के समर्थकों की नाराजगी और बाहरी उम्मीदवार पर भरोसा और भाजपा की बी टीम होने की लगी मूहर तथा भड़काउ भाषण हार का प्रमुख कारण माना जा रहा है। अब यह देखना दिलचस्प होगा कि (AIMIM) इस हार से क्या सबक लेती है। क्या (AIMIM) की पतंग फिर उड़ेगी, या यह हार पार्टी के लिए स्थायी नुकसान साबित होगी ?
