एक अधिकारी ने कहा, शिक्षा विभाग ने गृह विभाग के परामर्श से 25 और 26 नवंबर को सभी शैक्षणिक संस्थानों में सामान्य कक्षाएं बंद करने का फैसला किया है।
उन्होंने बताया कि छात्रों, शिक्षकों और गैर-शिक्षण कर्मचारियों की सुरक्षा को ध्यान में रखते हुए घाटी के पांच जिलों इंफाल पश्चिम, इंफाल पूर्व, थौबल, बिष्णुपुर और काकचिंग में राज्य विश्वविद्यालयों सहित सभी सरकारी और सरकारी सहायता प्राप्त शैक्षणिक संस्थान 23 नवंबर तक बंद कर दिए गए थे।
अधिकारियों ने कहा कि पांच जिलों में से किसी से भी कोई बड़ी हिंसक घटना की सूचना नहीं मिलने के कारण, पिछले कुछ दिनों के दौरान दिन में कई घंटों के लिए कर्फ्यू में ढील दी गई थी ताकि लोगों को आवश्यक वस्तुएं खरीदने और अन्य आवश्यक काम करने में सुविधा हो सके।
इस बीच, मणिपुर गृह विभाग ने एहतियात के तौर पर सात जिलों में मोबाइल इंटरनेट और डेटा सेवाओं का निलंबन सोमवार शाम तक बढ़ा दिया है।
गृह विभाग के अधिकारियों ने कहा कि हालांकि सात जिलों में से किसी से कोई घटना की सूचना नहीं मिली है, लेकिन एहतियात के तौर पर मोबाइल इंटरनेट और डेटा सेवाओं का निलंबन 25 नवंबर तक बढ़ा दिया गया है।
ये सात जिले इम्फाल पश्चिम, इम्फाल पूर्व, बिष्णुपुर, थौबल, काकचिंग, कांगपोकपी और चुराचांदपुर हैं।
