जानकारी के मुताबिक पठारिया और सोनकर परिवार के बीच कई सालों से दुश्मनी चली आ रही है। इससे पहले भी इनका आपस में विवाद हुआ, जिस पर पुलिस ने कार्रवाई भी की। 23 तारीख को नितिन और उसके दोस्तों ने मस्ताना चौक निवासी विसू पठारिया के घर जाकर गाली-गलौच की और पथराव करते हुए भाग निकले। यह जानकारी जब विसू को मिली कि 23 तारीख को जब घर पर विवाद किया गया था, वह नितिन और उसके दोस्तों ने किया था। इससे नाराज होकर विसू अपने दो दोस्तों के साथ पिस्टल से लेस होकर पहुंचा और फायरिंग कर दी। फायरिंग की आवाज सुनते ही पड़ोस के कुछ लड़के दौड़कर घटनास्थल पहुंचे और फायरिंग करने वालों पर पत्थर भी फेंके, पर तब तक आरोपी फरार हो चुके थे।रांझी थाना प्रभारी मानस द्विवेदी का कहना है कि इन दोनों ही परिवार की कई सालों से रंजिश चली आ रही है। दोनों परिवार अक्सर विवाद करते है, और थाने तक उनकी शिकायत आने पर कार्रवाई भी की जाती है। पुरानी रंजिश पर दोनों ही परिवार के लड़के एक बार फिर आमने-सामने आ गए थे। थाना प्रभारी के मुताबिक के मुताबिक सचिन और उसके दो अन्य साथी एवं विसू और उसके पांच साथियों के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज किया गया है। सभी की तलाश की जा रही है।
