हर्षोउल्लास के साथ मनाई जाएगी स्वर्गीय पंचानन राय की 82 जयंती
Azamgarh. On the occasion of the 82nd birth anniversary of teacher leader late Panchanan Rai, an educational seminar is being organized in the Nehru Hall of the city on November 28. The chief guest of this seminar will be Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Rai and the special guest will be Prof. America Singh Vice Chancellor, Vikrant University Gwalior, MP. This program is being organized by Panchanan Rai Fans Association. Its secretary Dr. Amit Kumar Rai said that the birth anniversary of teacher leader late Panchanan Rai was celebrated every year in Lucknow district. This time the Fans Association has decided to celebrate his birth anniversary in Azamgarh district. The current condition and direction of education will be discussed in the seminar organized on this occasion. Along with this, a teachers' felicitation ceremony has also been organized. He said that teachers from primary to higher education of the state are coming to participate in this program. He said that late Panchanan Rai dedicated his entire life to education and teachers. In 1996, late Panchanan Rai became a member of the Legislative Council by being elected from Gorakhpur-Faizabad Block Teachers' Constituency on behalf of the Secondary Teachers' Association. When the government was not implementing the Fifth Pay Commission on teachers, he organized a big movement by forming the Teachers' Federation. In 2002, he was again elected to the Legislative Council and got the status of permanent teachers for subject experts. Late Panchanan Rai died untimely on 5 September 2007 due to which many problems of teachers remained unresolved. Late Panchanan Rai kept fighting for service security and salary security not only for secondary teachers but also for primary, degree college and other types of teachers as long as he was alive.

आजमगढ़। शिक्षक नेता स्व पंचानन राय की 82 वीं जयंती के अवसर पर 28 नवंबर को शहर के नेहरू हाल में एक शैक्षिक संगोष्ठी का आयोजन किया जा रहा है। इस संगोष्ठी के मुख्य अतिथि उत्तर प्रदेश कांग्रेस के अध्यक्ष अजय राय एवं विशिष्ट अतिथि प्रो अमेरिका सिंह कुलपति, विक्रांत विश्वविद्यालय ग्वालियर म०प्र० होंगे।यह कार्यक्रम पंचानन राय फैंस एसोसिएशन द्वारा आयोजित किया जा रहा है। इसके सचिव डॉ अमित कुमार राय ने बताया कि शिक्षक नेता स्व पंचानन राय की जयंती प्रतिवर्ष लखनऊ जनपद में मनाई जाती थी। इस बार फैंस एसोसिएशन ने आजमगढ़ जनपद में उनकी जयंती मनाने का निर्णय लिया है। इस अवसर पर आयोजित संगोष्ठी में शिक्षा की वर्तमान दशा और दिशा पर चर्चा की जाएगी। इसके साथ ही शिक्षकों के सम्मान समारोह का भी आयोजन किया गया है।उन्होंने बताया कि इस कार्यक्रम में प्रदेश के प्राथमिक से लेकर उच्च शिक्षा के शिक्षक प्रतिभाग लेने के लिए आ रहे हैं।उन्होंने कहा कि स्व पंचानन राय ने अपना पूरा जीवन शिक्षा और शिक्षकों के लिए समर्पित कर दिया।1996 में स्व० पंचानन राय माध्यमिक शिक्षक संघ की तरफ से गोरखपुर-फैजाबाद खंड शिक्षक निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से निर्वाचित होकर विधान परिषद सदस्य बने। जब सरकार पंचम वेतन आयोग को शिक्षकों के ऊपर लागू नहीं कर रही थी तब शिक्षक महासंघ का गठन करके उन्होंने एक बड़ा आंदोलन किया था। 2002 में वह पुनः विधान परिषद के लिए निर्वाचित हुए और विषय विशेषज्ञों को भी स्थाई शिक्षक का दर्जा दिलाया। 5 सितंबर 2007 को स्वर्गीय पंचायन राय जी का असमय निधन हो गया जिसके कारण शिक्षकों की कई समस्याएं उलझी रही। स्व० पंचानन राय जब तक जीवित रहे न केवल माध्यमिक के शिक्षक बल्कि प्राथमिक, डिग्री कॉलेज, अन्य प्रकार के शिक्षकों की भी सेवा सुरक्षा और वेतन सुरक्षा के लिए लड़ाइयां लड़ते रहे।
