Azamgarh: Dead body of missing girl found in pond, murder suspected

Azamgarh: A dead body of a young woman was found in a pond near Bhorra Maqboolpur village in Kandharapur police station area. Police reached the spot and identified the dead body and sent it for post-mortem. The girl’s brother suspected murder. It was said that the sister had gone missing since the morning of December 8. A missing person complaint was also filed in Kandharapur police station. Pooja Yadav (20), a resident of Bhorra Maqboolpur village in Kandharapur police station area, was married to her brother Rahul on December 4. There was a gathering of guests at home. Even after the marriage, some guests were at Rahul’s house. Rahul said that sister Pooja did not appear to anyone in the morning of December 8. In the morning, every possible place was searched but not found. After this, the family members registered a missing person in Kandharapur police station. The family also used social media to search for him but to no avail. After this, around one o’clock on Sunday afternoon, villagers saw Pooja’s dead body in a pond located 300 meters away from the house. The relatives also reached after receiving the instructions. Soon the crowd gathered. Someone informed the police. After reaching the spot, the police took out the dead body and sent it for post-mortem. The girl was third number in Do Bhai Aur Do Bahnon. The brother of the deceased, Rahul, has suspected murder. The police will take appropriate action after the post-mortem report.
