Pick-up booked on rent, driver sniffs intoxicating substance and throws it in Azamgarh, police investigating

Ambedkar Nagar/Azamgarh: Unidentified persons called a pick-up vehicle on hire, forced the driver to sit in the four-wheeler and after inhaling intoxicants made him unconscious, left the neighboring district of Azamgarh and absconded with the vehicle. After regaining consciousness, the victim called Kotwali. Reaching Jalalpur and filing a complaint letter, they want to search the vehicle and file an FIR. On the notice, Kotwal Jalalpur has reached the incident site and started investigation on the CC camera footage and other aspects. Anurag Yadav, a resident of Village Padaria Faulad of Thana Baskhari, complained to the police and said that he drives a pick-up vehicle on hire. Last December 27, some unknown persons talked about moving to Gorakhpur on rent and talking about moving from Mittupur Road in Jalalpur Kotwali area.The victim said that when he reached Mittupur Road at the appointed time, unknown people who were there in a four-wheeler forced him to sit in their vehicle and threatened to kill him after inhaling intoxicant and made him faint and in Azamgarh district. Left in a secluded place. When he regained consciousness, he somehow reached home and made the pick-up vehicle disappear from the scene. On the complaint, Kotwal Jalalpur reached the incident site. Kotwal said that the CCTV cameras at the incident site did not show any incident and the victim was not able to tell the exact time of the incident. The case is suspicious and investigation is ongoing.
