Students learnt about law under SPEL program

Azamgarh: Student Police Experiential Learning (SPEL) program run by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India was successfully organised under the aegis of the Police Department. The objective of the program is to provide practical knowledge of the working style of the police department, law and order, crime investigation, and other related processes to the students. Today, on the third day of the second phase of the program, students of various colleges were trained at Thana Gambhirpur under the able guidance of the Vice Chancellor of Maharaja Suheldev University, SPEL Nodal Officer Anant Chandrashekhar (IPS) in the presence of SHO Basant Lal, Senior U.N. Mithilesh Kumar, Computer Operator Kuldeep Kumar Gupta, CCTNS Constable Mohammad Shoaib. During the training, the students were given in-depth knowledge of the basic processes of the police department like FIR writing, GD entry, postal process, crime register and record management related to various types of criminals. In this program organized under the guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police Hemraj Meena and supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police Nagar Shailendra Lal, students were made aware of important topics like law and criminal procedure as well as cyber crime, traffic control, human trafficking, and law and order.In the program, the students appreciated the opportunity to closely understand the working of the police department and gain practical experience. This 30 days programme will not only help the students in building their career but will also strengthen their responsibility towards the society.
