Sidharrth Sipani on Dussehra: “Festivals Are About Spirit, Whether on Set or at Home”
Mumbai:Festivals hold a special place in everyone’s hearts, and for actor Sidharrth Sipani, Dussehra is no different. Even with hectic shooting schedules, he believes in carrying the festive spirit wherever he goes. “This year I’ll most likely be on set, but for me festivals are about the spirit, so even if I’m working, I make sure to celebrate with everyone around. We plan a small puja or just come together as a team, which feels like extended family,” he shares. Though taking a day off for festivals is a luxury in the entertainment industry, Sidharrth doesn’t mind celebrating on set. “If I can take a day off, nothing like it—I love being with family. But most of the time we end up celebrating on set. It’s fun because the whole unit is in festive mode, and it brings positive energy to the shoot.” One ritual he never misses is offering a prayer. “I never miss doing a small prayer to Lord Ram and Maa Durga. Even if I’m traveling or working, I take out time to connect spiritually—it gives me peace and a sense of strength.” This year, Sidharrth plans to celebrate with his co-stars and crew. “We have continuous shoots, so it looks like I’ll be celebrating with my unit. But I’ll definitely video call my family to be a part of the celebrations at home too.” When it comes to traditions, watching Ravan Dahan remains close to his heart. “I really enjoy Ravan Dahan. Watching the effigy burn is symbolic—it reminds me that no matter how big negativity seems, good always wins.” Reminiscing about past celebrations, he recalls, “Once I was shooting out of Mumbai, and we couldn’t do much. The whole team just went out for a festive dinner after pack-up. It was simple but very memorable because everyone was away from family and came together like one.” And of course, no festival is complete without food. “For me, it has to be homemade sweets—kheer and jalebi especially. No matter how many times I eat them, the festive feeling doubles when they are made at home.” For Sidharrth Sipani, Dussehra is not just a festival but a reminder to embrace positivity, cherish togetherness, and celebrate good over evil—whether with family at home or with his on-set family.
