Hiren Adhikari Returns with Cyber-Thriller ‘Weekend Club’ on Hungama OTT

Mumbai, October 5, 2025 – The pioneer of Indian television thrillers, Hiren Adhikari, makes a powerful comeback with ‘Weekend Club’, a Gen-Z focused cyber crime web series produced by Kiran Lanjewar under the banner of Vibro Motion Pictures. The six-episode cyber thriller, each around 30 minutes long, is now streaming on Hungama OTT.The trailer and teaser of ‘Weekend Club’ were launched in Mumbai by Mr. Yashasvi Yadav, Additional Director General of Police, Maharashtra Cyber Department, on the eve of Cyber Crime Awareness Month. During the launch, Mr. Yadav said,“India suffered massive losses of ₹22,845.73 crores due to cyber crimes in 2024, compared to ₹7,465 crores in 2023—reflecting a sharp 206% increase. Over 3.6 million cases were registered across the country. With digital expansion accelerating, financial scams, digital arrests, sextortion, and AI-enabled attacks are rising rapidly. I hope this series helps raise public awareness against cyber crimes.”Producer Kiran Lanjewar emphasized that the series aims to highlight the dangers of cyber threats faced by Gen Z and the wider population. “To spread awareness in an engaging way, we created ‘Weekend Club’, shot across Surat, Mumbai, and Lonavala, with the highest production quality standards,” he said.Director Hiren Adhikari added, “‘Weekend Club’ is my latest offering to the world of digital entertainment and to 1.4 billion Indians.
