Indian Beauty Brands Gear Up for Global Recognition, with Jaipur Conference Showcasing the Industry’s Strength
Mumbai : The Indian Hair & Beauty Conference, held in Jaipur, emerged as a landmark event for India’s hair and beauty industry. Organised by KT in collaboration with the Hair & Beauty Federation on 6 October 2026 at the Jaipur Exhibition & Convention Centre (JECC), the grand conference brought together more than 5,000 salon owners from 18 states and over 50 cities across the country. Held under the leadership of Dhruv Sayani, Managing Director and CEO of KT, the conference was widely regarded as a significant initiative to unite India’s salon industry on a common national platform.
Hon’ble Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagde inaugurated the conference, while Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari attended the evening programme as the Chief Guest. Embracing the spirit of ‘Make in India’ and ‘Vocal for Local’, speakers emphasised that Indian companies have the potential to compete in international markets. To achieve this, salon owners across the country must embrace locally developed products and build strong business partnerships with Indian brands.
Dhruv Sayani, Managing Director and CEO of KT, described the conference as a historic opportunity to strengthen unity within the salon industry. He said, “The coming together of the salon community on such a large scale reflects the collective strength of India’s hair and beauty industry. This unity should not remain limited to a single event but should translate into sustained collaboration, stronger businesses and growing trust in Indian professional brands.”
Sayani also urged the Indian salon industry to support quality brands being developed in the country, including KT. He outlined a vision of partnerships that give equal importance to product quality, professional training, education and business development. According to him, the success of beauty brands and the growth of salon businesses are closely interconnected.
Special Focus on Skill Development and Employment
In his address, Governor Haribhau Bagde highlighted the importance of Indian entrepreneurship, professional skills and the ability of indigenous brands to compete globally. Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, meanwhile, emphasised the role of the beauty and salon sector in expanding employment, entrepreneurship and professional opportunities. Her address focused on skill development, greater participation of women and the advancement of Indian businesses.
The conference also underscored the importance of ensuring that entrepreneurs and professionals associated with the salon industry are aware of government schemes and opportunities related to skill development. Such awareness can help both small and large salon businesses enhance their capabilities, improve service quality and adapt to the changing demands of the market.
With participation from across the country, the Indian Hair & Beauty Conference highlighted the potential of collective action, indigenous brands and professional development in shaping the future of India’s salon industry.
