10 years of rigorous imprisonment for rape victims and suicide convicts

Azamgarh: After completing the hearing in the case of the victim’s suicide after viral photos of the victim after the rape, the two convicts have been sentenced to ten years of rigorous imprisonment. is Out of the monetary fine, five lakh rupees will be given as compensation to the victim’s mother. This verdict was delivered by Additional Sessions Judge Fasttrack Court Number One Rameshchandra on Monday. According to the prosecution, the victim was returning home on April 7, 2022 from a college located in Rani Ki Sarai police station area. Then the accused Suryabhan Yadav son of Ramkesh Yadav, Vivek God alias Khalihar son of Sinshan Gaur resident of Palhani police station Sidhari lured him and abused him. After this, he made a video of it and made it viral on social media. The victim died by jumping in front of the train on the same day out of fear of the public. After completing the investigation, the police sent the charge sheet against both the accused to the court. On behalf of the prosecution, Assistant Government Advocate Abhay Dutt Gond and Harendra Singh examined a total of ten witnesses in the court. After hearing the arguments of both the parties, the court sentenced the accused Suryabhan Yadav and Vivek Gaur alias Khalihar to rigorous imprisonment for ten years each and a fine of five lakh thirty thousand rupees each.
