Azamgarh: Police station in-charge accused of taking bribe of Rs 1 lakh, DIG ordered investigation
Azamgarh : A video of a newly constructed wall being demolished in Madna village of Ahraula police station area of Azamgarh is going viral. The video shows the breaking of a wall constructed several days ago. Ramsuchit Maurya is the pakir of Ahraula police station, he is said to have a land dispute with the family of Ramra Gaur next door. According to the victim, the land was measured by the revenue team on the instructions of the SDM. Ramsuchit Maurya and brother Ram Samhar Maurya built a wall on the marked land on December 29 in the presence of police force. It was demolished by the opponents on Friday afternoon. The video of the demolition of the wall is going viral on social media. The victim alleges that he kept calling the police but the police came only after the wall was completely demolished. On protesting, the goons attacked Ramsuchit Maurya, his wife Sunari Devi, Sunita with bricks and stones and injured them. The victims allege that all this has been done by the opposition in collusion with the police. The police first built the wall and then the opposition demolished it with the support of the police. Chowkidar Suvidha Maurya posted at Ahraula police station has made serious allegations against the station in-charge of his own police station Manish Pal.The Chowkidar says that the Thana Adhyaksha demanded two lakhs to build the wall. Somehow, after a lot of difficulty, he arranged one lakh rupees from relatives and friends and gave it to the Thana Adhyaksha. After this, the Thana Adhyaksha got the measurement done by the revenue team in the presence of the police. After the wall was built on the land, the Thana Adhyaksha demanded the remaining one lakh rupees from the Chowkidar, but the Chowkidar expressed his inability to give him the money. After this, the Pana Adhyaksha got together with the opponents and demolished his wall. Chowkidar Ram Suchit Maurya complained about this to DIG Azamgarh. The DIG ordered an inquiry against the Thana Adhyaksha to SP Rural Chirag Jain.SP Rural Chirag Jain said that there was a land dispute between Ram Suchit Maurya and Ramesh Gaur in Madna village of Ahraula police station area. Earlier also the demarcation was done by the revenue team. On the basis of which the applicant Ram Suchit Maurya was getting construction done on the land. On 29 December 2024, the opposition started stopping the construction work. After which a dispute started between the two sides. On receiving the information, the police station also challaned both the parties. After this, on January 3, the wall was suddenly broken by the opposition without anyone’s presence. A case was also registered in the police station. The applicant Ram Sujit Maurya alleged that the police station in-charge was getting our work done by taking money, and when we did not pay, our wall was broken in connivance with the opposition. The matter is being investigated on the orders of the DIG. Whatever facts will come to light after the investigation. Further action will be taken on that basis. SP Rural said that the matter of the Chowkidar giving money to the police station in-charge is a serious matter, if this fact is confirmed in the investigation, then the biggest action will be taken.
