Lucknow Bank Loot Case: One Accused Killed in Police Encounter, 3 Arrested, Looted Gold, Silver and Cash

Lucknow:Late on Monday night, the police had an encounter with two more miscreants of a gang who broke into 42 lockers of the Indian Overseas Bank in Lucknow and stole jewelery worth crores of rupees. In this encounter between the police and the accused on Kisan Path in Lucknow, Sobind Kumar (29) was shot with a bounty of 25 thousand. The police admitted him to the hospital, where he died during treatment. Another accused who was present with him managed to escape from the spot. This was Lucknow Police’s second encounter with the bank robbery gang within 24 hours.Earlier on Monday, the Lucknow Police had arrested 3 members of a gang from Bihar after an encounter within 24 hours of the robbery of Indian Overseas Bank’s Chinhat branch. 4 other accused in the second car managed to escape from the spot. Out of this, a late night police encounter took place with Sobind Kumar and another, in which Sobind Kumar was killed. The accused caught during the day have been identified as Arvind Kumar, Balram Kumar and Kailash Bind. All three were traveling in their Estilo car and were trying to escape from the outer ring road. Arvind Kumar, a resident of Munger, Bihar, was injured in the leg by police firing during the encounter. Police recovered Rs 3 lakh cash, valuable jewelery and an illegal country pistol from his possession. Police have so far arrested 3 accused in two separate incidents of such encounter, one of whom died of gunshot wounds in the encounter, while Mithun Kumar (28), Sunny Dayal (28) and Vipin Kumar Verma are now They are also absconding, and pressure is being given by the police to catch them.
