5 people killed in Lucknow hotel; Son killed 4 sisters and mother, family had come from Agra

Lucknow: A heartbreaking incident has happened in Lucknow, the capital of UP, on the first morning of the new year. A mother and 4 daughters were murdered in Hotel Sharanjit in Naka police station area near Charbagh railway station. The murderer is the son of the woman. All the people were residents of Agra, who had come to Lucknow to celebrate the New Year. Arshad (24 years), a resident of Islam Nagar, Tehri Bagiya, Kuberpur, Agra, had come to Lucknow with his mother Asma and 4 sisters Alia (9 years), Alshia (19 years), Aksa (16 years), Rahmeen (18 years) to welcome the new year 2025. Here everyone had taken a room in Sharanjit Hotel in Naka police station area near Charbagh railway station. After returning from celebrating the New Year at night, Arshad killed his mother and four sisters. As soon as the incident was reported, senior officials and local police immediately reached the spot and started necessary action. The field unit is also being called and evidence is being collected. Police has arrested the accused Arshad. He has admitted to committing the murder during interrogation. All the bodies have been sent for post-mortem. Police is busy interrogating Arshad. Initial investigation suggests that the murder was due to family feud. DCP Central Raveena Tyagi said that on January 1, information was received from Thana Naka area that five members of the same family were murdered in Hotel Sharanjit. Local police immediately reached the spot. One person has been arrested. During interrogation, the accused told that he had killed his mother and four sisters due to family feud.
