Azamgarh: Two bike riders crushed to death by an unknown high speed vehicle

Azamgarh: Ashish (23 years), son of Jiyalal and Ravindra Nath (35 years), son of Banwari, residents of Umri Shri (Gomadih) village, were seriously injured when they were hit by an unknown vehicle near Rohua Mustafabad Nand Petrol Pump in Gambhirpur police station area on Thursday night at around 10:00 pm. On receiving the information, Gambhirpur police took both the injured to the Primary Health Center Muhammadpur where doctors declared Ashish and Ravindra Nath dead. Gambhirpur police took both the bodies into custody, prepared a Panchnama and sent them for post-mortem. According to the information received, Ashish 23 years son of Jiyalal and Ravindra Nath 35 years son of Banwari of Gambhirpur police station area came to eat on bike at a Dhaba located in Bindra Bazaar on Thursday night and were returning after eating at around 10:00 pm, as soon as their bike reached near Nand Petrol Pump Rohua Mustafa Bad, an unknown vehicle hit them, due to which both fell on the road and got seriously injured. Gambhirpur police reached on the information and took both the injured to Primary Health Center Muhammadpur where doctors declared both the injured dead. The deceased Ashish was the youngest of four brothers and Ravindra Nath was the youngest of two brothers. The elder brother of the deceased Ashish, Pankaj son of Jiyalal, has lodged a complaint against the unknown in Gambhirpur police station.The deceased Ravindra has 2 sons Aman 13, Aryan 7 and 2 daughters Muskan 11, Gauri 9. According to the information, Ravindra’s mother Mevati Devi’s health was not good, due to which he came home from abroad to see her on January 6.
