The pea market of Jabalpur will now be built at a new location on the bypass instead of the Vijay Nagar Krishi Upaj Mandi of the city. The administration says that this will benefit farmers, traders and the general public. Peas are grown on about 40,000 hectares of land in Jabalpur. Peas are mostly used as a vegetable. The whole power of peas depends on its freshness. In Jabalpur district, lakhs of quintals of peas reach the markets simultaneously during the season, these peas are transported to the markets of other parts of the country with the same speed... Keeping in mind the experience of the past years, the district administration has shifted the pea market outside the city this time because when peas reach the Krishi Upaj Mandi from the tehsils adjoining Jabalpur, the entire traffic system collapses from evening to the afternoon of the next day, and many times the police and district administration also have to face the law and order situation deteriorating. This year, the farmers had demanded from the district administration that the pea market of Jabalpur be shifted outside the city. Jabalpur Collector Deepak Kumar Saxena, former Cabinet Minister Ajay Vishnoi along with other public representatives and farmers have together established a new pea market near the bypass outside Jabalpur city. MLA Ajay Vishnoi says that "After the construction of this new pea market, not only the farmers will benefit but the traders will also get the facility to easily transport their goods and the people of the city will get relief from traffic jams.
जबलपुर जिले का मटर पूरी दुनिया में अपनी मिठास और बड़े दानो के लिए पहचाना जाता है दिसंबर की शुरुआती दौर से मटर की आवाजाही शुरू हो जाती है जबलपुर जिले में आने वाली तहसीलों में किसान मटर की बंपर पैदावार करते हैं जबलपुर का मटर पूरे देश के साथ-साथ विदेश में भी भेजा जाता है..मध्य प्रदेश की सबसे बड़ी मटर की मंडी में इस बार बड़ी तब्दीली की गई है.जबलपुर की मटर की मंडी अब शहर के विजय नगर कृषि उपज मंडी की बजाए बाईपास में एक नए स्थान पर बनाई जाएगी.प्रशासन का कहना है कि इससे किसानों, व्यापारियों और आम जनता को फायदा होगा…जबलपुर में लगभग 40000 हेक्टेयर जमीन पर मटर लगाया जाता है.मटर का इस्तेमाल ज्यादातर सब्जी के रूप में होता है. मटर का पूरा दम उसके ताजापन पर निर्भर करता है.जबलपुर जिले में सीजन पर लाखों क्विंटल मटर एक साथ मंडियों में पहुंचता है,इस मटर को उतनी ही तेजी से देश के दूसरे इलाकों के बाजारों में पहुंचाया जाता है…अपने बीते सालों के अनुभव को देखते हुए जिला प्रशासन ने इस बार मटर मंडी को शहर के बाहर शिफ्ट कर दिया है क्योंकि जबलपुर से लगी तहसीलों से जब मटर कृषि उपज मंडी पहुंचता है तो शाम से लेकर दूसरे दिन दोपहर तक पूरी यातायात व्यवस्था चरमरा जाती है साथ ही कई बार पुलिस और जिला प्रशासन को लॉ एंड ऑर्डर बिगड़ने का सामना भी करना पड़ता है..इस साल जिला प्रशासन ने इस वर्ष किसानों ने मांग की थी कि जबलपुर की मटर मंडी शहर से बाहर की जाए.जबलपुर कलेक्टर दीपक कुमार सक्सेना, पूर्व कैबिनेट मंत्री अजय विश्नोई के साथ दूसरे जनप्रतिनिधियों और किसानों ने मिलकर जबलपुर शहर के बाहर बाईपास के पास एक नई मटर मंडी स्थापित की है.विधायक अजय विश्नोई का कहना है कि “इस नई मटर मंडी के बनने के बाद न केवल किसानों को फायदा होगा बल्कि व्यापारियों को भी आसानी से अपने माल को ट्रांसपोर्ट करने की व्यवस्था मिल जाएगी और शहर वालों को ट्रैफिक जाम से छुटकारा मिलेगा
