Accused in Jaunpur groom murder case killed in encounter, police station in-charge KK Singh injured

Jaunpur. Ravi Yadav, a criminal carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh, involved in the district’s infamous groom murder case, was killed in a police encounter. Khetasarai police station in-charge KK Singh was also injured by gunfire and has been admitted to the district hospital for treatment.

It is reported that on the evening of May 1st, groom Azad Bind, who was leading the wedding procession, was shot dead by unknown criminals in the Khetasarai police station area. Following this sensational incident, the groom’s family filed a case against three people.

Regarding the incident, injured police station in-charge KK Singh said that the police team received information about the arrival of criminals. When the police tried to stop them, the criminals opened fire and fled.

In the police’s retaliatory action, one of the criminals, Ravi Yadav, was seriously injured by a bullet. He was immediately rushed to the district hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Police are conducting a combing operation to search for the other absconding criminal.
