Under the direction of Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. Anil Kumar, Atraulia police have achieved another success in the campaign against illegal weapons. Police arrested a youth with an illegal country-made pistol and live cartridges and registered a case against him under the Arms Act. According to the police, on Wednesday, Sub-Inspector Manish Vishwakarma and his team were checking suspicious persons and vehicles at the Budhanpur intersection. Acting on information from an informant, a cordon was laid near a ruined house in village Bheelampur Chhapra and Sunil Yadav (23), son of Ramkaran Yadav, resident of village Ekdangi, police station Kaptanganj, district Azamgarh, was arrested. During the search, a country-made pistol (.315 bore) and a live cartridge (.315 bore) were recovered from his possession. The police have registered a case against the accused at Atraulia police station under crime number 0278/2026, section 3/25 of the Arms Act. After the necessary legal proceedings, he will be produced in court and sent to jail. According to the police, a criminal case has already been registered against the arrested accused at Kaptanganj police station under various sections. Sub-inspector Manish Vishwakarma, along with constables Rakesh Vishwakarma, Rajkaran Sonkar, Umesh Kumar, reserve constable Ajay Kumar Singh, and Abhishek Mishra were involved in this operation.
आजमगढ़, 15 जुलाई। वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक डॉ. अनिल कुमार के निर्देशन में अवैध शस्त्रों के विरुद्ध चलाए जा रहे अभियान के तहत अतरौलिया पुलिस को एक और सफलता मिली है। पुलिस ने एक युवक को अवैध देशी तमंचा और जिंदा कारतूस के साथ गिरफ्तार कर उसके खिलाफ आर्म्स एक्ट के तहत मुकदमा दर्ज किया है।
पुलिस के अनुसार, बुधवार को उपनिरीक्षक मनीष विश्वकर्मा अपनी टीम के साथ बूढ़नपुर चौराहे पर संदिग्ध व्यक्तियों एवं वाहनों की जांच कर रहे थे। इसी दौरान मुखबिर से मिली सूचना के आधार पर ग्राम भीलमपुर छपरा स्थित एक खंडहर मकान के पास घेराबंदी कर सुनील यादव (23) पुत्र रामकरन यादव, निवासी ग्राम एकडंगी, थाना कप्तानगंज, जनपद आजमगढ़ को गिरफ्तार किया गया।तलाशी के दौरान उसके कब्जे से एक देशी तमंचा (.315 बोर) तथा एक जिंदा कारतूस (.315 बोर) बरामद हुआ। पुलिस ने अभियुक्त के विरुद्ध थाना अतरौलिया में मुकदमा अपराध संख्या 0278/2026, धारा 3/25 आर्म्स एक्ट के तहत मामला दर्ज कर लिया है। आवश्यक विधिक कार्रवाई के बाद उसे न्यायालय में पेश कर जेल भेजा जा रहा है।

पुलिस के अनुसार, गिरफ्तार अभियुक्त के खिलाफ पूर्व में भी थाना कप्तानगंज में विभिन्न धाराओं के तहत एक आपराधिक मुकदमा दर्ज है।इस कार्रवाई में उपनिरीक्षक मनीष विश्वकर्मा के साथ कांस्टेबल राकेश विश्वकर्मा, राजकरन सोनकर, उमेश कुमार, रिजर्व कांस्टेबल अजय कुमार सिंह तथा अभिषेक मिश्रा शामिल रहे।
