CINTAA Leadership Addresses Recent Statements, Presents Facts and Sets the Record Straight

The current leadership of the Cine & TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) addressed the press and media, presenting the association’s official position and placing the facts on record following recent statements and a one-sided narrative put forward by certain erstwhile members of CINTAA.

 

Press conferences saw the presence of Jaya Bhattacharya, Sheeba Akashdeep Sabir, Chandraprakash Thakur & Many More.

 

*Poonam Dhillon, President, CINTAA, and Padmini Kolhapure, General Secretary, CINTAA, addressed the media and responded to the various claims and narratives surrounding the association. The leadership emphasised the importance of presenting the complete facts and ensuring that CINTAA’s decades-long legacy is not defined by selective, speculative or inaccurate accounts.*

 

*Speaking at the press conference, Poonam Dhillon says* _”Upasana Singh’s allegations are completely baseless and false. Every penny raised is fully accounted for and reaches its rightful beneficiary. Not a single rupee is used for personal gain. We have zero tolerance for anything illegal or unconstitutional. Our work stands on transparency, accountability and facts and the records speak for themselves”_

 

*Padmini Kolhapure says* _”The allegations made by Upasana Singh are entirely untrue and without basis. The funds we raise are handled with utmost responsibility and are directed to the people and causes they are meant for. They are never diverted for our personal use. We have always maintained a strict stand against anything unlawful or unconstitutional. Our only priority is to ensure that the purpose behind every contribution is honoured with complete integrity”_

 

The press conference provided the CINTAA leadership with an opportunity to clarify its position and address the concerns being raised publicly. The office-bearers reiterated their commitment to transparency, accountability and the welfare and dignity of artistes associated with the organisation.

 

The leadership further maintained that CINTAA’s focus remains on protecting the rights and interests of artistes while preserving the credibility, dignity and legacy of the institution.
