Indian boxer Sakshi Chaudhary is garnering a lot of attention for her skillful game at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2026. She is representing India in the 51Kgs Boxing category. Her pre-quarters game was called historic as she defeated a former CWG medalist scoring a whooping 5. Today, as she stepped into the ring opposite North Ireland’s boxer, Caitlin Fryers, she received much more accolades for her style of game, as she won this match too, moving ahead in this competition.

With skillful combats, smooth defences, tactful moves, Sakshi was ruling the ring. Though Caitlin gave her best, this Indian tigress kept her still and walked her isle of glory. Sakshi scored a unanimous 5-0 verdict.

Speaking about today’s game, Sakshi said, “It was a wonderful match. Caitlin has her set of strengths and I appreciate her moves. But for me my goal is pretty clear and I have been working on it with precision and proper practice. Hearing everyone scream India and applaud makes me feel so proud. Representing India at the Commonwealth Games was my dream, and as I’m living it today, I don’t want to waste a single moment. These are memories I’d cherish for life. Now all my attention is on the semis… Every match is taking India to victory, and I wish to make my motherland more proud of me.”
