AIAA Celebrates 70th Foundation Day with “Sudarshan Gour Kala Gaurav Samman”

 

MUMBAI: The All India Artists Association (AIAA) celebrated its 70th Foundation Day by honoring theatre legends with the “Sudarshan Gour Kala Gaurav Samman” awards. The event was organized by Rohitashv Gour, known for his role as Manmohan Tiwari in “Bhabhiji Ghar Pe Hain,”, President, AIAA and his wife Rekha Rohitashv Gour, Vice President of AIAA.

AIAA was founded in 1955 in Shimla by late theatre veteran Sudarshan Gour with a mission of “National Integration Through Art” Since 7 decades, AIAA continues to recognize excellence in the field of arts. The celebration also featured the announcement of the “Anup Jalota Awards” for achievements in music sling with some mesmerising dance performances.

Chief Guest Bhajan Samrat Padamshri Anup Jalota honored eminent theatre personalities with this prestigious award like
Sulbha Nishan Arya, Kuldeep Singh, Om Katare, Jayant Deshmuk, Abhijit Lahiri, Gyan Prakash, Mukul Nag, Kenny Desai, Rakesh Sahu, Harbansh Singh Bisht, Anita Neha Prakash & Arun Shekhar.

The awards ceremony took place at Veda Kunba Theatre in Andheri West, Mumbai, marking a significant milestone in the appreciation of Indian arts and culture.
