Patna Police Encounter Turns Violent; Two Officers Shot, Criminal Killed

Patna:A bloody battle between police and criminals unfolded in Patna, the capital of Bihar, on Friday evening. Criminal Mohammad Haider was killed in an encounter with police in Manichak, Masaurhi.Meanwhile, Masaurhi’s Station House Officer (SHO) Rahul Kumar and Sub-Inspector Sanjay Kumar were shot in the crossfire by the criminals. Patna East SP Parichay Kumar confirmed this. Both sub-inspectors injured during the operation are receiving treatment.

 

After first aid, both sub-inspectors were referred to Patna. According to reports, police received information about a gathering of criminals near the West Pain, across from the Manichak Pond in Masaurhi police station. After preparing, the Station House Officer (SHO) and Additional Station House Officer (SHO) Rahul Kumar and Sub-Inspector Sanjay Kumar along with their team went to conduct a raid. Upon seeing the police, the criminals opened fire. In-charge Station House Officer (SHO) Rahul Kumar was shot in the left leg. A bullet grazed Sub-Inspector Sanjay Kumar’s hand. In retaliation, the police also opened fire. Mohammad Haider was killed in the police’s retaliatory action. Other criminals managed to escape, taking advantage of the darkness. A search is underway for them.

The gang will be wiped out.

 

Meanwhile, upon receiving information about the shooting of two police officers, police from several police stations arrived and cordoned off the area, conducting raids to arrest the criminals. Drug addicts are known to congregate around the Manichak pond. Meanwhile, police received information about the gathering of some professional criminals. After verification, a team was formed. Arriving at the scene, the police team surrounded the criminals. Sensing a trap, one of the criminals opened fire. After Rahul Kumar was shot, police identified the criminal. In defensive and retaliatory action, the criminal was killed. Police are investigating the criminal history of the deceased, Mohammad Haider. Police are now working to identify and arrest the criminals who escaped during the operation.

There will be no mercy for the criminals.

The two sub-inspectors injured by the criminal’s bullets were transferred from Masaudhi to Patna city. Both are undergoing treatment, with one reported to be out of danger. Patna East SP Parichay Kumar stated that the criminal’s body has been sent to the hospital for post-mortem and other procedures. The gang is being identified. The police will continue to work on the crime prevention policy.
