मुंबई  : प्रथम एंग्लो-बर्मा युद्ध की अनकही पीड़ा, बनारस की तंग गलियों की मिट्टी से उठती एक स्त्री की टूटती आवाज़ और लोकसंगीत की आत्मा—कोक स्टूडियो भारत का नया गीत ‘कचौड़ी गली’ सिर्फ एक म्यूजिक ट्रैक नहीं, बल्कि इतिहास के भूले हुए जख्मों को महसूस कराने वाला भावनात्मक अनुभव बनकर सामने आया है।

गीत उस पत्नी की नजर से कहानी कहता है, जिसका पति अंग्रेजों द्वारा जबरन युद्ध के लिए रंगून भेज दिया जाता है। घर के अचानक खाली हो जाने का दर्द, इंतजार की बेचैनी और बिछड़ने की टीस इस लोकधुन में इतनी गहराई से घुली है कि सुनने वाला खुद को बनारस की उन्हीं गलियों में खड़ा महसूस करता है।

रेखा भारद्वाज की भावपूर्ण आवाज़ गीत को आत्मा देती है, जबकि उत्पल उदित ने भोजपुरी लोक की सादगी और कच्चेपन को खूबसूरती से जिंदा रखा है। वहीं ख्वाब की मौजूदगी गीत में एक शांत लेकिन गहरा असर छोड़ती है।

‘कचौड़ी गली’ के जरिए कोक स्टुडियो भारत ने फिर साबित किया है कि लोककथाएं सिर्फ अतीत नहीं होतीं, वे आज भी दिलों में सांस लेती हैं।
