DPIFF 2026 announces top 10 short films, honoring the talent of filmmakers from around the world
Mumbai. The Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival (DPIFF) has officially announced the top 10 short films selected for the year 2026. Selected from thousands of entries received from around the world, these films captured the judges’ attention with their compelling storytelling, creative vision, technical excellence, and artistic presentation.

According to the festival management, the selection process was conducted in several stages, first with a top 100, then a top 50, and then a final shortlisting round. The films that made it to the top 10 after a rigorous evaluation process include “Chasing Jupiter,” “Cyanide,” “Dark Light,” “Good For Nothing,” “In Half,” “Jahaan – The Last Gift,” “Madhuri – End Is Beginning,” “Solobatha,” “Strings,” and “Tea Kottu ’83.”
DPIFF congratulated the producers, actors, technical experts, and the entire creative team behind these films, stating that their hard work and dedication have elevated the art of storytelling to new heights globally. The festival believes that these films represent excellent examples of innovation and powerful expression in contemporary cinema.
