नई दिल्ली:। गुयाना के राष्ट्रपति डॉ. मोहम्मद इरफान अली ने भारत के प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को देश के सर्वोच्च नागरिक सम्मान ‘द ऑर्डर ऑफ एक्सीलेंस’ से सम्मानित किया।पीएम नरेंद्र मोदी गुयाना के सर्वोच्च राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार से सम्मानित होने वाले चौथे विदेशी नेता हैं।विदेश मंत्रालय (एमईए) के प्रवक्ता रणधीर जायसवाल ने एक्स पर एक पोस्ट में कहा, “भारत के लिए एक और उपलब्धि! गुयाना के राष्ट्रपति डॉ. मोहम्मद इरफान अली ने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को ग्लोबल समुदाय के लिए उनकी असाधारण सेवा, स्टेट्समैनशिप और भारत-गुयाना संबंधों को गहरा करने में योगदान के लिए देश के सर्वोच्च राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार ‘द ऑर्डर ऑफ एक्सीलेंस’ से सम्मानित किया।”,इस मौके पर राष्ट्रपति इरफान कहा कि प्रौद्योगिकी, इनोवेशन और डिजिटलीकरण का उपयोग देशों के बीच की दूरी को बढ़ाने के लिए नहीं किया जाना चाहिए। इन प्रगतियों का उपयोग दूरी और गरीबी को कम करने तथा विश्व को एक साथ लाने के लिए किया जाना चाहिए।पीएम नरेंद्र मोदी ने ‘द ऑर्डर ऑफ एक्सीलेंस’ सम्मान के लिए गुयाना के राष्ट्रपति को धन्यवाद दिया। उन्होंने कहा, “मुझे गुयाना का सर्वोच्च सम्मान, ‘द ऑर्डर ऑफ एक्सीलेंस’ प्रदान करने के लिए राष्ट्रपति डॉ. इरफान अली को तहे दिल से धन्यवाद। यह सम्मान केवल मेरा नहीं बल्कि भारत के 140 करोड़ लोगों का सम्मान है।”,पीएम मोदी ने कहा, “राष्ट्रपति इरफान अली ने इन संबंधों को अभूतपूर्व ऊंचाइयों पर ले जाने में बहुत योगदान दिया। आज की चर्चाओं में मैंने भारत के लोगों के प्रति उनके स्नेह और आदर को महसूस किया। भारत भी गुयाना के साथ हर क्षेत्र में कंधे से कंधा मिलाकर चलने के लिए तैयार है। दो लोकतंत्रों के रूप में हमारा सहयोग केवल द्विपक्षीय संबंधों के लिए नहीं बल्कि पूरे ग्लोबल साउथ के लिए महत्वपूर्ण है।उन्होंने कहा, “अनेक नदियां, झरना और झीलों से समृद्ध गुयाना को ‘अनेक जलों की भूमि’ कहा जाता है। जिस प्रकार से गुयाना की नदियां यहां के लोगों की सांस्कृतिक पहचान का हिस्सा हैं, उसी प्रकार भारत की गंगा, यमुना और ब्रह्मपुत्र जैसी महान नदियां हमारी प्राचीन सभ्यता का जन्म स्थल रही है। भारत और गुयाना के बीच समानताओं के ऐसे कई उदाहरण हैं जो हमारे ऐतिहासिक संबंधों और भी गहरा करते हैं।”
