Serious allegations against the hospital of transfusion of wrong blood group, family reached police station with the dead body

Azamgarh: A case of negligence of a private hospital in the city has come to light. A patient died during treatment in Varanasi on Monday after the doctor transfused the wrong blood to her. The family of the deceased reached Sidhari police station directly with the dead body in an ambulance. They have given a complaint in the police station accusing a hospital located in Sidhari of negligence. The police have sent the body for post-mortem. After the report comes, the police is talking about taking necessary action.Naveen Mishra, a resident of Hirapatti Mohalla of City Kotwali area, has given a complaint in Sidhari police station. He told that his wife Tripti Mishra’s health deteriorated on December 9. He took her to a hospital located in Sidhari, where the doctor admitted her to the hospital. The doctor told that there is a shortage of blood. He demanded blood and asked them to bring AB+ blood. The victim brought blood from the blood bank. First they transfused two units of blood and said that now it is fine, take her home. Keep telling the report in a day or two. Whereas his wife’s health was not well. After this he took his wife to a private hospital in Varanasi. In the blood test in the hospital, it was told that she will be given A+ blood group. Then the victim told them that her group is AB+ and she has also been given blood in Azamgarh. After listening to this, the doctor referred him to a higher center. After this the victim took his wife to a big hospital in Varanasi for treatment. There also when the doctor examined, his wife’s blood group was told to be A+. After this she was also given A+ blood and treatment was started. The victim told that his wife was undergoing treatment there when she died on Monday morning. The victim came to know that his wife died due to wrong blood transfusion. The victim demanded post-mortem of his wife and necessary action.SP City Shailendra Lal said that the patient’s family is accusing a private hospital in the city of providing wrong treatment. The body has been sent for post-mortem. Also, a letter will be issued to the CMO to investigate the matter. If anyone is found guilty in the investigation, a case will be registered against him and action will be taken.
