ऑनलाइन प्यार हुआ और इकरार भी। तीन साल तक दीपक और मनप्रीत कौर बात करते रहे। प्यार इस कद्र परवान चढ़ा कि बात शादी तक पहुंच गई। ऑनलाइन ही शादी भी तय हो गई। लड़की ने दीपक को छह दिसंबर को बरात लेकर आने को कह दिया।लड़का दुबई से जालंधर पहुंचा और तय तारीख के अनुसार 150 लोगों की बरात लेकर मोगा पहुंच गया। लेकिन जब बरात लड़की के बताए गए मैरिज पैलेस पहुंचे तो वहां कुछ नहीं मिला। लड़की को फोन किया तो उसका फोन स्विच ऑफ आया। तब दीपक को अहसास हुआ कि लड़की ने उसे बेवकूफ बनाया है। इसके बाद दूल्हे के लिबास में दीपक पुलिस थाने पहुंचा और लड़की के खिलाफ शिकायत देकर इंसाफ की गुहार लगाई।
दुबई में लेबर का काम करता है दीपक जालंधर गांव मंडीआला के दीपक ने पुलिस को बताया कि वह दुबई में लेबर का काम करता है। मनप्रीत कौर से उसकी इंस्टाग्राम पर दोस्ती हुई जो प्यार में बदल गई। मनप्रीत और उसके परिवार से उनकी बात हुई और शादी के लिए वो 3 दिसंबर को जालंधर पहुंचे।मोगा में रोज गार्डन मैरिज पैलेस में छह दिसंबर की शादी का कार्यक्रम रखा गया। मनप्रीत ने शादी के खर्च के लिए 70 हजार रुपये भी लिए। वो 150 बारातियों के साथ मोगा पहुंचे और मनप्रीत को फोन किया। उसने गीता भवन के पास स्थित पैलेस पर आने को कहा। गीता भवन के पास पहुंचे तो वहां ऐसा कोई पैलेस वहां नहीं था। दोबारा लड़की को फोन किया तो उसका फोन बंद आया। दीपक ने बताया कि शादी पर उनके चार लाख रुपये खर्च हुए हैं। उन्हें इंसाफ मिलना चाहिए। जांच अधिकारी एएसआई हरजिंदर सिंह ने कहा कि मामले की जांच कर कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
