On Wednesday evening, in Mohalla Shivpur Garha of Kopaganj police station area, fraudsters called a teenager and extorted ₹ 77 thousand through a mobile app. After the matter came to light, the family has filed a complaint on the cyber crime portal and demanded action. According to the information, a call came on Wednesday evening on the mobile of Tahira Khatoon, resident of Mohalla Shivpur Garha. The caller said that ₹ 13 thousand have been sent to her PhonePe account by mistake. When the teenager checked the balance, no money had come, even after telling on the phone that no money has been received, the fraudsters started calling continuously and threatening. Under the pressure of repeated calls from the fraudster, Tahira transferred a total of ₹ 77 thousand in seven stages to the account mentioned by the fraudster through Google Pay. Later, when the family came to know about the incident, they immediately lodged a complaint on the cyber crime portal. People say that due to such calls, people are becoming victims of fraudsters, hence the general public should be cautious and should not trust any unknown call.
Mau News:मऊ।कोपागंज।कोपागंज थाना क्षेत्र के मोहल्ला शिवपुरगाढ़ा में बुधवार की शाम एक किशोरी को कॉल कर ठगों ने मोबाइल ऐप के माध्यम से ₹77 हजार ऐंठ लिया। मामला सामने आने के बाद परिजनों ने साइबर क्राइम पोर्टल पर शिकायत दर्ज कर कार्रवाई की मांग की है।
जानकारी के अनुसार मोहल्ला शिवपुर गाढ़ा निवासी ताहीरा खातून के मोबाइल पर बुधवार की शाम एक कॉल आया। कॉल करने वाले ने कहा कि उसके फोनपे खाते में गलती से ₹13 हजार भेज दिए गए हैं। किशोरी ने बैलेंस चेक किया तो कोई पैसा नहीं आया था, फोन पर बताने पर की कोई रुपए नहीं मिले हैं फिर भी ठग लगातार फोन कर डराने-धमकाने लगे।
ठगो के बार बार काल के दबाव में आकर ताहीरा ने सात चरणों में कुल ₹77 हजार ठग के बताए खाते में गूगल पे से ट्रांसफर कर दिया। बाद में जब परिजनों को घटना की जानकारी हुई तो उन्होंने तत्काल साइबर क्राइम पोर्टल पर शिकायत दर्ज कराई।
लोगों का कहना है कि इस तरह के कॉल से लोग ठगों का शिकार हो रहे हैं, इसलिए आमजन को सावधान रहना चाहिए और किसी भी अनजान कॉल पर विश्वास नहीं करना चाहिए।
